William "Bill" Andrew Hawryschuk  

September 07, 1952- August 31, 2025 

On Sunday August 31, 2025, Bill Hawryschuk passed away at the age of 72 in Spruce Grove, AB. 

Bill was born in Edmonton, AB to his loving parents Micheal and Rhoda Hawryschuk.

Bill will be lovingly remembered as a devoted father, brother, uncle, lifelong friend and his favorite role in life as a Gedo.  He was a gifted hockey player and pool shark having walked several miles around a pool table throughout the years. He had a knack for storytelling and would laugh just as hard at the joke he was telling you as if he had just heard it first as well.  Bill was a man of integrity and had a heart of gold, that those of us left behind without him will forever remember and cherish.  

Bill held many jobs throughout his life, driving bus for ETS, Owner of the Lake Isle Family store in the 90's, school bus driver at Darwell, time in the oil field, then having retired as a Truck Driver.  He made friends wherever he went, and had a gift of knowing someone you knew, no matter where he was, he knew someone!

He is survived by his two daughters:  Erin Banister (Jeremy) and Megan Richard, his 6 grandchildren:  Ashlyn, Cassidy, Hailie and Brianna Banister, JR and Odin Richard.  His twin sister MaryLlew Hawryschuk; nephew Micheal Thomas Woods and sister Susanne Messerschmidt (Terry) daughter Mikelle Hawryschuk (Danie); great nephew Dayton and great niece Lily.  He will be greatly missed by many extended family members and lifelong friends.  

Bill was predeceased and is now reunited with his parents, Micheal and Rhoda Hawryschuk; Grandparents, Thomas & Jeanette Dryland and Andrew & Mary Hawryschuk; niece Sarah Messerschmidt.  And son in law Jeremiah Richard.  

A Celebration of life will be held Saturday September 27, 2025 from 1:00p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Spruce Grove Pioneer Centre~ 301 Jespersen Ave, Spruce Grove, Alberta in the RPW Room.
